Feb 2026
2025 stands out as the year when Digital Hub Denmark's initiatives truly scaled. Our annual report reflects on a year in which initiatives expanded, partnerships strengthened, and Denmark’s GovTech model gained international recognition.
From hosting our flagship event, Beyond GovTech, to launching Decoding, our monthly brief on GovTech trends, the report highlights how Digital Hub Denmark has developed as an organisation and how our initiatives have positioned Denmark as a trusted partner in shaping the future of digital public infrastructure.
Global interest in Denmark’s digital model is less about specific technologies and more about systemic organisation and governance. As Nicolaj Geller Christensen, CEO of Digital Hub Denmark, notes in the foreword:
"The Danish model draws attention not because it claims perfection, but because it is coherent, pragmatic, and built on hard-earned experience developed through long-term relationships. It is this combination of structure, trust, and collaboration that continues to position Denmark as a valued partner in the global digital landscape."
Held under Denmark’s EU Presidency, Beyond GovTech 2025 brought together 200 participants from 36 countries to explore critical themes such as digital sovereignty, AI ethics and public-private collaboration. The summit emphasised that trusted digital governance, rooted in transparency, interoperability and accountability, is essential for strengthening democracy and competitiveness.
2025 marked the first full year of Digital Hub Denmark's formalised partnership programme, marking an essential step in strengthening collaboration across Denmark’s GovTech ecosystem. The partnership programme formalised collaborations with seven new strategic partners. The established Partner Advisory Board provided strategic input, ensuring our initiatives, such as Beyond GovTech and delegation programmes, remained grounded in real-world needs.
“Digital Hub Denmark has been an invaluable partner in expanding cBrain’s international footprint. Through joint activities, knowledge exchange, and access to a broader network of public-sector leaders, we’ve been able to demonstrate how cBrain's digital platform, built for government, can scale globally. The partnership has supported our mission and amplified our outreach - and the strong visibility we gained through Digital Hub Denmark’s flagship event, Beyond GovTech, was particularly important in showcasing our work to international stakeholders.”
